Oh Sunday, some things never change with you.
He jerked in suprise, his eye shooting open as the pillow hit him in the face. That was not what he was expecting at all. Nick looked her over carefully as he moved the pillow back next to him. His lips parted to deny her statement about giving up, but then closed. She was right, he was just giving up every time the chance presented its self. Everytime he was doing something right, he went and did the wrong thing instead. Letting her walk out of his apartment would have been idiotic best. Then again, there he was letting himself fuck up.
His mind kept churning the pros and cons only really distracted when she touched him. Jade’s words made him relax. She loved him. Right then, he realized that was all that mattered. If Jade could love him, they could be together. Unless she stopped loving him, he would never let go. Nick would always love her. He felt so close to her as she laid back down next to him, and his hand reached up to cradle his face. “I love you, too.” He murmured before pressing his lips to hers. His other arm found its’ way around her waist, pulling her flush to him.
This feeling of being so close made Jade’s stomach turn into knots. The thought of being with Nick on a more intimate level had crossed her mind, yet again. There was thing overwhelming feeling of just wanting Nick, in every way. Then again, she was scared out of her mind. Nick was someone she actually loved and by the way people talked about sex, it was different when it someone you actually cared about. She figured that if she did decided to take that net step, it would let Nick in fully. That was also a thing she had to be mindful of. What if she allowed herself to be vulnerable and he left her again? Then she’d really be destroyed.
She opted to wait until the right moment. Right now, she felt as though it wasn’t right to give her full self up to Nick. She really just wanted to talk, about everything. Why Nick did what he did, what he was thinking, does he regret it? Jade was no longer afraid to speak her mind, and she also knew that she had to be patient with Nick while he was trying to answer. She looked into his eyes, and gave an apologetic look before asking her question. “I need to know…why you did what you did. You can’t use your drinking as an excuse either.”
Sometimes…I like to go and feed birds!
Nick is one of the few people that understands me. He’s the one person that makes me feel like i’m finally home. And as much as he’s hurt me, he’s the only family i’ve got right now.
